WE NEED YOU[R BLOOD] MORE THAN EVER.

WHAT CAN I DONATE?

All links lead to the respective donation pages of our local blood bank of choice, We Are Blood TX.

WHOLE
BLOOD

Whole blood donation is the most common type of blood donation. One pint of your blood is drawn and then separated into red cells, plasma, and platelets post-donation. These components are typically used in transfusions for trauma and cancer patients. Read more about the blood donation protocol re: COVID-19.

CONVALESCENT
PLASMA

COVID-19 convalescent plasma refers to plasma that contains antibodies to fight the coronavirus disease. If you have tested positive for and fully recovered from COVID-19, your plasma could save the life of a patient fighting COVID-19. Read more about the FDA's most recent update regarding convalescent plasma therapy.

FINANCIAL
CONTRIBUTIONS

If you are ineligible to donate blood or plasma at this time, you can still help to combat the nationwide blood crisis by making a financial contribution to your local blood bank. Read more about We Are Blood's commitment to serving Central Texans as "the only truly local blood services provider".
